Aliens Love Underwear and St. Patrick's Day

Two weeks ago we finished our clothing unit by talking about underwear...EEK!  We had tons of fun reading silly stories about underwear and made a few underwear art projects!

We decorated underwear cutouts.  Each cutie cut a V-shape out of a piece of paper and then glued shapes onto the undies.

We also read Bear in Underwear and then each sweetie made their own Bear in Underwear.  We found the pattern at Chalk Talk.

I love, love, love how they turned out!

During morning table time we colored an underwear shape.

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, a lady from the library came dressed as the Cat in the Hat and read some of his books to us.  It was so much fun!

Last week we started the week with a puppet show based on the book Stellaluna.  It was a lot of fun, too!

Afterwards each sweetie was able to touch the puppets.

Then, it was on to starting our St. Patrick's day fun!  We made pots of gold by stamping with gold paint and glitter.

If you have a pot of gold, you also need a rainbow!  To make the rainbow, we cut out an oval and glued cotton balls onto it for the cloud. Then they glued strips of paper on for the rainbow.

It just feels like spring every time I look at our bulletin board!

During table time on Wednesday we colored shamrocks according to the color word in each shamrock.

We're going to continue our St. Patrick's day theme this coming week, so check back in to see what else we do.

Thanks for stopping by!
